I was at home yesterday preparing slides for my presentation this wednesday in the departmental seminar. I received sms from Tan (postgrad from other lab) telling me that I got the scholarship! He said I just need to wait for the official letter to come. Well, unofficially, I got it!! Yes!!
And Dr Ed sms me this morning, "Great news. Our manuscript is accepted with minor corrections. Please check your email asap." I quickly logged on to the web as soon as I arrived in the lab. Yes! It is accepted yesterday, with minor minor corrections and some editorial changes to make. I'm pretty happy about it. My first ever paper with my name on it! Although it is not an impact factor journal, but it is an indexed refereed journal, and comments from reviewers are positive, so Dr Ed said i should feel proud of myself. Then I told him I got the scholarship offer too. He said 'well, it seems the wind of luck is blowing your way this week.' Hehe. If this is indeed the wind of luck blowing my way, I hope that it keeps blowing in my way. Good luck for my presentation tomorrow.
