The 29th Modern Olympics Opening ceremony was officially opened yesterday night 8pm at the bird nest!

What can I say about the opening ceremony and show? Spectacular! Especially the fireworks. (but didn't they say they want a GREEN olympic?) And also very 张艺谋 kind. I have the feeling of watching a movie that tells about the art & culture of China using colours. A lot of 意境 kind of presentations. For example dancers on the painting paper, drawing using their body parts. I wonder can the westerners of different culture background understand or capture the message? Because even to us, it's really 只能意会，不能言传. Anyway, I like the opening 2008 drums performance with the 有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎? And also the way the cauldron is lighted, with the famous former gymnastic athelete Li Ning 'running' around the stadium, and the painting scroll unroll under his feet. Like running towards a better future, and given the world best things to remember. Smiles, cultures etc.
