Yesterday my little cousin Wen of primary 1 asked me a question that I think is very creative. She saw my teeth with braces and asked me 'Je je (as in 'sis' in Hokkien), why is there stapler on your teeth?' My first reaction is don't know should I laugh or cry. Next, I couldn't help laughing. What a cool question! It is great thing that we have kids in this world to brighten our life!

I went to visit cousin Hong and her new born baby girl with mum last Saturday afternoon. She is now officially in the month of 'zou guet' (Hokkien, a chinese custom, refer to the first month after giving birth to baby, usually the mother need to stay at home for entire month to allow the body to recover. One cannot wash the hair, must eat food cooked in wines to heat the body uo etc.) According to Hong, it is even more suffering than givng birth to baby because she is not allowed to do this and that. Very 'sien'. I can really imagine how sien it is, judging by the fact that you need to stay at home whole month. But when she starts talking about her baby, I could sense her love and happiness. I should be able to expect a lot of 'stories' from her in future about bringing up young Jacelyn.
