I have been experiencing swollen gum since last Sunday, at the gap between my upper right canine and premolar. Went to ZP this afternoon to give it a check, turn out that the wire that holds my 6 upper front teeth in group, somehow ( no idea how) poked into the gum. No wonder it swells and fluid keeps coming out from the swollen gum. And this morning I felt a little aching.
ZP helped me clean the swollen gum area. Then he 'inspected' my upper teeth because I told him I suspect my midline is a little shifted to the left sometime ago. After confirming that, he changed the square wire to round wire. And added an accessory to my teeth:
Oh, Shxt! That's my first spoken words when I saw myself in the mirror. Then I asked ZP almost immediately 'How am I suppose to eat?" (that's my major concern you see). He explained that this is for 'anterior close'. The elastics will create force in my left upper canine so that it pushes the rest of the teeth a little to the right, to correct my midline. Meanwhile, I don't have to wear the powerchains at both side (as shown in my previous entry), that's a good news. So, my latest new year look with the sign '此路不通' in my mouth. Ha!
