Are you working with the correct cabinet?

This afternoon there's an educational talk on laminar floor, fumehood and biosafety cabinet. Although our colloquium was still going on, I chose to go and listen to the talk because I felt that I will be working a lot with 'them', so I need to know them better.
It turned out to be a beneficial talk for me. In terms of research and also how I could better protect myself. A researcher need to know what he/she is working with, then only he/she can decide where to work in.
Did you know that the laminar floor provides protection to the products (experiment samples) whereas biosafety cabinet and fumehood provide protection to the operator (researcher)? And how to determine which type of biosafety cabinet to use? Class I, II or III? How to work inside a fumehood and biosafety cabinet?
After the talk, I realise that being a researcher, we not only need to know how to do things right but also do the right things right.
