Can anyone tell me how to read fast (as in can read 10 papers per day) and yet can extract all the important information out?
I have so much to read, be it my core subject area, or around/related subject areas. I have piles of research articles and technotes stacking up, and books that I borrowed from Cais (which have been renewed many many times since last year) that I haven't manage to read beyond 5 pages. I need to read to know what is the latest development in my area of study, about the techniques or experiments that I will be conducting in future or very soon, about human molecular genetics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, human developmental biology (advised by boss) ...... and the list goes on. How possibly could I read that much???
I considered myself a quick reader but those articles are really difficult to 'swallow', not to mention 'digest'. Normally I end up sleeping 'unintentionally'. Sigh.
I've ever thought of cutting down my time for other activities such as dancing but then what is life if I become a researcher without blood and flesh?
How I wish I have Doraemon...
