nice flowers near the roadside...
And our first stop is Yang Ming Shan.
The bird eye's view from the site close to 文化大学on top of Yang Ming mountain.

We had late lunch in this little hut like restaurant. I forgot the name but there are a lot of this kind of restaurants up there.

some 野菜 (how should i say this? vegetables from the wild? used to be main diet of the aboriginal people that live in the mountains)
Next, from Yang Ming Shan we travel a long way to this place:
I could smell the sea once I got out of the car. Yehliu (野柳) is a cape on the north coast of Taiwan in the town of Wanli. The cape, known by geologists as the Yehliu Promontory, forms part of the Taliao Miocene Formation. It stretches approximately 1,700 meters into the ocean and was formed as geological forces pushed Mount Datun (大屯山) out of the sea. There are many strange looking formations here.

And of course the famous Queen's Head
Thanks to this nice people who accompanied me and toured me here. After they dropped me down at one of the MRT station, I took the opportunity to visit a place which I've always wanted to visit: There are altogether 8 levels to shop but I knew exactly what my purpose was and I wasn't distracted at even a bit. Time was running short. It was already 8++pm (I had to rush back to Ban Qiao to pack my bags for next day early morning departure). I mustn't linger on things not related to my initial intention! I must move on! But still I had to first fill up my stomach. I had a nice vegetable ramen at the food court in level B2.
And then I proceeded immediately to...

Taipei Xin Yi Branch, the largest Eslite bookstore in Taipei. I didn't know we are not allowed to take photos inside the bookstore, I was so excited and start snapping pics once I entered the bookstore at level 2 (thinking of showing you guys in my blog mah). Then suddenly a salesgirl came to me and in a very stern voice reminded me "Miss, we don't allow people to take photos inside our shop oh!" (So, sorry guys, although I have the photos, I don't dare to upload here, in case I get myself into some intellectual property court case. Haha.) Do I buy any book? Well, although I know I'm suppose to not buy anymore book due to money constraint, still I bought a few books. I had to 'force' myself to put some books back onto the shelves (T_T).
With the few 'shortlisted' books in my bag, I reluctantly bidded the 101 Tower and also Taiwan goodbye.
~The End~
