What do you want? First glance it seems a straight forward question, second thought you'll realise it's not easy to answer. Perhaps for some, they are very clear of their wants but sometimes people only realise what they truly want when there is a loss.
Recently, I heard that another master from our department quited. This is the third in the row. Previously one quited for the reason that she lost interest, another quited for a better job offer. And some friends of mine who are earning steady and good income told me that they are tired with their life/job. They found it routine and meaningless.
How great it would be if we could know exactly our true wants! It would save us a lot of time. But then I realise we all have to experience the search ourselves. We are not certain of ourselves sometimes because we spend so much time chasing and trying to keep up with others but spend less or no time self-reflecting. We follow the general trends yet seldom ask ourselves are these our needs/wants. Perhaps we should really start asking ourselves 'What do you want?' and 'Is this what you really want?'.

true, that' why not every postgrad can stands with intense research works
and the worst thing, after these PhD students submitted their thesis, got their degree and then offered with a good-paid full-time job, they realized that there are still endless challenges out there waiting for them... so just bear in mind that the more we move forward, the more we discover what we want... or the more we are confused and don't know what we actually want...
'or the more we are confused and don't know what we actually want'. sadly true...
