I'm in my 3rd year of study and I really feel the 'heat' now.
I thought things would be better in comparison to my master years because we moved to a bigger and better equipped lab and most importantly I'm more prepared. It started looking bright initially but as I progress through my middle years, things gets tougher. I'm receiving pressures from grant provider to produce and publish, frustrations arising from experiments that don't work and hustle bustle in the lab. But now to make things worst, the latest to add on to 'Things that make my research life miserable' list is the financial issue. I'm still not receiving my stipend for February (Yes, it's almost March now). The graduate school officer told me that the money allocation from the ministry hasn't come in and we might still not receive anything for March.
They expect us to eat grass and yet produce milk? Yeah, maybe I should start learning eating grass. Moooo.......
