Young Lecturer

We had another seminar series this afternoon. The presentation was from a new lecturer of our department. He looks young, as in you'll mistaken him for a student and mind you, he is also REALLY young in age. Only 27! Man, I'm almost 30 and still doing my PhD but people had completed and is appointed as a lecturer.
He's a graduate from Japan. He did all his degrees there. The research is about protein crystallography and mutagenesis, something quite 'advance' in our department. The way he presented is also very different from our other lecturers. Although he is young in the department, but I think he presented quite confidently. Perhaps because he's well-trained or he's really an expert in his own field.
I see much room for improvement in myself...
