Chinese Dim Sum @ Shang Hai Ren Jia

This is a new place that HG introduced to Lulu few weeks ago. Introducing ....It is located at Jalan Keretapi. Not facing the road. You need to turn into the shop lots to locate it. The 'tauke nio' is a chinese (as in from China).

Now, how's the interior of the restaurant?Very typical chinese restaurant look i would say.

How about the food? We tried these:

Guo tie - of average, I personally think not as good as Jade Pot ones because the wrapper rather thick. However, a typical chinese guo tie or jiao zi is actually wrapped in such way.
Eel rice- dish of the day. Quite nice. The eel is nicely done. I like the rice. Smells of 'eel' and tastes sweet due to the sauce used.

And this one is really good. I bet it is their chef's best. Xiao Long Tang Pau (Soup dumpling). Typical chinese style one. So far I have not come across any in Kuching yet. One bite into it, the soup will flow out. But you need to be careful not to spill the soup when you eat it as there's a hole on top of the Pau. (It happened to each HG and me once, really a waste of the soup).

In overall, the food tastes ok. Price is reasonable too. I'll rate a 3.5 stars out of 5. Well, if you really want to complain, maybe it's just that the restaurant is not air-conditioned. Anyway, it's more environment-friendly right?
