Braces Day 2
If it was 'endurable' yesterday afternoon, last night it was 'painful'. The pain level is described as 'couldn't bite egg and mushrooms, but could still bite Kueh Chap.' And this morning, the pain level is 'could only swallow and not bite'. Although the pain is not heart stacking, it is disturbing. I feel like knocking my own teeth down! I need to get my mind distracted from it. I have to avoid touching my teeth now and then too. My front teeth are now 'shaky' as in I can see them 'moving' when I touch them with my fingers. And brushing my teeth becomes a very tedious task. Brushing everytime after ingestion of anything, and have to do it real gently, if not it hurts. And mind me, this is only 0.12mm wires!

wow the pain actually increases by time! it's good that at least you know the teeth are shifting place! just think of you having the neatiest & prettiest teeth real soon to pull it thru!

The dr said, it is not bcoz of my teeth, it is the jaws that cause of my weird look ( i really look weird, hmm..i think, the nearest animal is the monkey :-p ) The shortest summary i can get is, putting braces will help me to gain good looking smile. A very sad thing to know, but i think it is the fact..sad ya ? :-( You are very lucky as one day u will gain beautiful smile :-)
Susie: I see. If it's the jaws, some operation needed to be done. My case is crowding of teeth, so wearing braces will help. But i do have smaller lower jaw. Thus, crowding happens.
Yupe Lulu, dr suggested operationS ( with an S, as the dr said it will be a few!!). Well, all the 3 dr i went to see said the same thing : well, u see, it is not so serious, as long as you don't open your mouth too wide when you laugh..but how can this happen as you should laugh as "normal" when you want to laugh, rite ? :-p
susie: is it like when u smile or laugh, ur upper gum will appear? if that's the case, i also like that. a fren of mine who wore braces last time too. she wore braces to level her teeth, but the jaw thing unless operations are performed, if not braces cant put them right. operations hurt a lot!!! and cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$
hmm..the main problem is not seeing the jaws when i laugh..it is from the side look, it looks weird..all the dr i went to see said it is NOT a big deal, but i mind :-( so, it bcomes my prob :-p
i c. it's our own acceptance towards ourselves. different people different perspective.
