Buddhist village

I went to 古晋佛教居士林佛教新村 situated at 单头榴莲 on the first day of Hari Raya. I went there to join our KBSteens' activities (http://kbsteens.blogspot.com/2008/10/blog-post.html ). It was my 5th or 6th visit since it was built few years ago.

The buddhist village is a vision of KBS. Besides the 1st phase crematorium and the 2nd phase vegetarian restaurant and hotel that have been completed, in future there will also be apartments for sale, club, multi purpose hall, kindergarden, nursing facilities etc. It is like a small community of its own. FYI, the 3rd phase which includes a 500 arahat tower and a big buddha statue will start soon.

Each of my past visits to the buddhist village had always been a rush. But this time I get to tour a bit after lunch that day. Here are some photos I took.
The above pics were taken at the mini Japanese style garden beside the restaurant.

And this is another pic that I took during my earlier visit there to celebrate mooncake festival.

Nice place...
