The upper arch wire is changed to square stainless steel wire with aids of power chains to speed up the closing of gaps. Whereas the lower one is changed back to normal round titanium wire, because of this-->
unwanted movements of my teeth! And also to correct the biting position of my upper and lower teeth, I need to wear posterior powerchains (if I remembered correctly what ZP told me), one on each side. The rubber forms a "square" holding my upper canine & molar as well as lower canine & molar.

wah pia!! The last photo so very shocking!! How're you supposed to close your mouth with the 2 sticks??! Are they flexible?
pipiky: actually that's not sticks but elastic bands. just that i opened my mouth wide so you see the bands stretched.
