The 'Iron Tree' (铁树)in our front yard that Dad rescued long time ago bloomed. This was not my first time to see this, but since '铁树开花’is something considered rare, I decided to share it here. The were actually 3 bunches of flowers up the tree. I was not tall enough to take good shots of the flowers, so please compromise with my photography skill.
Flowers high up on the tree.

p/s: I tried look up the Internet for info about 铁树, but the pics all showed different plant. Then I check and turn out that it should be "巴西铁树” (Brazilian Iron Tree- direct translation from Chinese). The scientific name is Dracaena fragrans.

印象中铁树开花好像百年难得一见,但最近到处却出现铁树争相开花的奇景。。。。
