A new spot for Western yet halal cuisine in town! According to the owner, they are awaiting the halal certificate but hotels do get food from them, and they don't serve wine or beer here, and no pork on the menu too. I was there Thursday night with friends to celebrate labmate Grace's birthday.
You can opt to dine inside the restaurant or outside in the open air.
Let's look at the menu and price:
We had these:
Chicken Gordon Bleu@17.50. I tried a bite of the chicken. Quite tender and smells good. Well, maybe the only drawback is that the portion is rather small. Wen Ni said it would have tasted better if there was more cheese.
Bolognaise
Carbonara and
Marinara-my choice. All the pasta are sold @RM14.50 and you get to choose either spaghetti, fettucine, spiral or penne. It looks delicious and smells delicious too. The portion is just nice for me. The taste? In my opinion it's above average but still not the best as I've tasted better ones. If you prefer something lighter, you can try their burgers, sandwiches, cakes etc. We had tuna+egg salad @RM9.50 but too bad I forgot to take photo of it (and forgotten the name too). Well, I like the salad. On overall, the food is quite tasty and price is affordable. They serve cold plain water for all customers who dine in (something that I like especially when having western food). The only thing is that their service is kinda slow. We had to wait quite some time for our orders to come and even to pay the bill (yet we are being charged 10% service charge).
By the way, there's a mini bakery+meat market inside the restaurant that sells breads, cakes, tarts, sausages, smoked salmon etc.
We tried the German bread and multigrain bread weeks ago. Each sold @RM3.90. I like the texture of the bread. ^_^
