The PHD movie

I finally get to watch the PHD movie! Thanks to CK! And here is a short write up on my thoughts after watching the movie, as promised.
It's an hour long movie. To me, it's a little too short. Many of the interesting and 'epic' scenes are not included in the movie. Honestly, I still prefer the comic strips. But, I love how the comic characters turn into 'real life' eg. Prof Smith and the 'no-name postgrad' (which finally was given a name in the movie) as they really mimic the characters in the comic. Tajel and Mike are okay too. Just that for the character "Cecilia", I still prefer the Cecilia in the comic strips. Maybe because the actress is not as 'geek' as the character in the comic I guess.
I was laughing most of the time while watching the movie but my husband couldn't understand those jokes. I guess only people like us who are in the process (or have undergone it) appreciate those jokes. Although I'm laughing, ironically, deep down in my heart there's a feeling of sadness after finishing the movie. Perhaps for the reason that I feel the bitterness, sweet and sour of it?
But one thing that I really like about the movie is its message -'Have a life!' >_^
