Now, what happens this time for the treatment?
1. the upper wire is still the same 0.12mm one, new rubber bands were used to substitute the old ones, holding the wire to the brackets. I could feel the 'tightening' again.
2. the lower wire is changed to stainless steel type, still 0.12mm in diameter but with stronger force to speed up the transitional movement of my teeth
3. now four 'o rings' are applied, up and low on both sides to 'force' movements of my canine teeth especially of the lower jaw. As you you could clearly see, there is still insufficient space for my right lower lateral incisor to move in (red arrow), so step 2 and 3 are essential.
One thing I would like to make a note is that, when ZP put on the O rings on my lower left canine teeth, I immediately feel the pain caused by the force. Believe it or not, I realised that the force causes the existing gap between the canine teeth and lateral incisor to widen as in this:notice the small gap indicated by the blue arrow? Previously it was 50% smaller.
Anyway the pain wore off later so I could have a sound sleep last night. But this morning when I woke up, I could experience the force in my teeth again, especially of the lower jaw. Force = pain, meaning my routine cycle of pain begins. Haha.
